Privacy Policy

Island Fastpitch ("we", "us") runs this website at https://www.islandfastpitch.com. The site is built and operated for us by Always Competing Sports LLC, doing business as Mainline Web Design, which handles information only on our instructions and only to run this site. Questions about this policy go to mike.islandusssa@gmail.com.

When you register, enter a team, or contact us, you give us the information needed to run the program: names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing address, team and organization names, and the details asked for on the form.

Team and player details such as player names, jersey numbers, positions, age group or birth year, and emergency contacts are entered by a parent, guardian, coach, or team manager. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, email mike.islandusssa@gmail.com and we will delete it.

When you pay online, your card details go directly to Square, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of the payment itself: who paid, what for, how much, and when.

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: the address your device connects from, the browser you use, and the pages you open. We use these to keep the site running and secure.

• To run the program: schedules, standings, rosters, brackets, results, and the communication that goes with them.
• To collect and record entry fees, deposits, and other payments.
• To email you about events you registered for, including schedule changes, weather calls, and receipts. These emails go out through SendGrid.
• To text you about schedule changes and results, but only if you opted in. Texts go out through Twilio. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.
• To answer questions you send us.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to target ads.

Schedules, scores, standings, brackets, and team names are public, because that is what the site is for. Coach or manager contact details appear only where the organization has chosen to list them.

Player names, and where enabled jersey numbers and statistics, appear on public roster, stats, and leader pages. If you want a player's name removed from public pages, email mike.islandusssa@gmail.com and we will remove it.

The site uses a small number of essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember the preferences you set. Without them, sign-in does not work.

Square sets its own cookies during checkout to prevent fraud. Those are governed by Square's privacy policy.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It does not set cookies and does not identify you personally.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

These companies process information on our behalf, each under its own privacy policy: Vercel (hosting), Google Firebase (database and sign-in), Square (payments), SendGrid (email), Twilio (text messages), and Mainline Web Design (building and operating the site). We may also share information when the law requires it.

Season records such as schedules, results, standings, and champions are kept as the organization's history. Registration contact details are kept while a team or player is active and for two seasons afterward so returning teams do not have to start over. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

• Email mike.islandusssa@gmail.com to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you or your player. We answer within 30 days.
• Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
• Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
• California residents can ask what personal information we hold, ask for it to be deleted, and will not be treated differently for asking.

The site runs over HTTPS. Registration and payment records are available only to the organization's officials and to Mainline Web Design as our vendor, each through their own login. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that, but we take reasonable care.

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date at the top.
