-
Reasons may include, but are not limited to, use of profanity, unsportsmanlike behavior, false information given on registration forms, etc.
-
Should a player, manager, or coach be ejected from a game, he/she must leave the field of play immediately or risk the chance of his/her team forfeiting the game.
-
Umpires also have the authority to remove anyone from any of the grounds you are scheduled to play at.
Ejection Rule
-
Any player, parent, or coach ejected from a game will be ineligible as indicated:
-
1st Offense: player/coach is ineligible for the next immediate game.
-
Ex: If you are ejected out of game one from a double header, you are ineligible for game 2 but will be eligible for your next scheduled game.
-
If the ejected player or coach fails to sit the next game, a forfeit win will be awarded to the opposing team.
-
The player or coach will be required to sit out his/her next game and the team representative/manager will also sit out his/her next game for failure to comply.
-
If the ejection occurs in the final game of the season, the penalty will carry over to the playoffs/next season.
-
2nd Offense: Any player or coach ejected a second time will be declared ineligible for the remainder of the season, including playoffs and tournaments.
-
Note: In addition to the above suspensions, further disciplinary action may be taken against an ejected player or coach.
-
Appeal Process: A twenty-dollar ($20) money order payable to Island Softball must be included with your written appeal. The fee will be refunded if the ejection is overturned.
-
Parents that are unable to conduct themselves in a respectable manner may be asked to leave the field.
-
If a problem persists, the parent may be asked not to return to the field.
-
The umpire onsite along with the owner/director have the ability to make such decisions.
-
We are looking to create a friendly, competitive atmosphere for all players/coaches/parents.
